Meet Your Fellow Riders: Bjorn

It’s MYFR Thursday! Yes. We missed last week. But we have a very good excuse and it’s noyb (none of your business). Let’s get past that. Shall we? Today we’re going to meet Bjorn P. You know Bjorn. He’s one of the nicest people in the MC Peloton. He rides a steel bike, always smiling, has a dog named Ginger (pictured below)and shaves with and has a collection of 30 straight razors. Ok. Let’s get to know Bjorn just a bit better.
Where are you from Originally?
Van Nuys, California (the porn capitol of the world)
And where do you live now? What brought you to SF (if you’re not from here)?
We like to call it “The Outer Outer Mission”, but it’s really The Portola District.
What’s your favorite ride in the Bay Area?
Lately it’s a tie between Tunnel Road in the East Bay and Alpine Dam. Really it’s any one that involves pastries, coffee, and ends in burgers.
When did you learn how to ride a bike and who taught you?
My father taught me when I was four. He’s always been an avid cyclist.
Do you have a favorite restaurant or little-known spot in SanFrancisco? What is it? What do you like about it?
I have so many favorites it’s a super tough question to answer. Each one meets a particular mood. Lately I’ve rediscovered The Slow Club. Although, I’d have to say Zuni has always remained my all-time favorite.
Why do you like to ride a bike?
It’s my way to meditate. I’m also addicted to the high.
Centipede? Asteroids? PacMan? Tempest? Frogger?

“No, but my dad does…can’t even sit on the toilet some days”
