So you wanna ride, huh? And you're nervous cause you've never been on any of the Mission Cycling rides and want the details? It kind of feels like the first day of 5th grade, when your parents selfishly decided to move houses and put you in a new school where you didn't know anyone. Well, maybe that's just me. I remember I was wearing a red sweater and some kid called me a nerd. I kissed his girlfriend 3 weeks later. Just like me, it will all be ok. Just show up for any of the rides and we'll be super nice to you. But, unless you're super charismatic, you might not be kissing anyone. Please remember, our rides aren't formal. There is no leader or route sheets or coaching. We're all grownups, here. But, you will meet some great people, of all levels, and you will probably have the best time of your life.
So, put down the phone, step away from the computer, pull on the spandex and get out for some riding. I promise it will be great and nobody will give you a noogie.
This is the original Mission Cycling club ride. It's the big one. Get up and shake that hangover off. Don't worry about that bedhead. Pump up the tires and let's go. We usually get a pretty good sized group on Saturdays so just show up and you'll find someone who's looking to ride at your pace and go the distance you want to go.

Because of the ungodly hour of this ride, please shoot a quick 'in' email to the mailing list if you're planning on making it (and where you plan on meeting the group). Stay classy and arrive by the designated times as there's no "waiting rule" - folks gotta get to work, you know?
Sign yourself up for the mailing list by sending an email to: mc-am-riders[at]googlegroups.com
This one is for those of you that wanna sleep in a bit, make some eggs, read the Sunday paper and call mommy. It's supposed to be an easier ride to work out the kinks and get ready for a new week. Again, like The Saturday Ride, it's an informal ride without leaders or route sheets. It's a chance for all of us to get together, hug and turn over the pedals. Take it easy, stretch the legs, have coffee, space out. If you're one of those who has trouble relaxing, shoot us an email and we can set up a time to talk it out. We have a nice selection of teas, at HQ, and we're very good listeners. We can also do some 'sun salutations' and 'downward facing dogs' to help center you.
Pickup Points:

Of course, if you're looking for a little hammer-time, you could bring that to this ride. But keep in mind, the focus will be a more leisurely pace. Yes. We did just say hammer-time.
Our Summer Sunset Rides are on Thursday evenings, June 10th through Labor Day.
Ride over bridge with The Colonel and do some headlands looping for about 20 or so miles. Zen out and leave your worries behind as the summer breeze makes you feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in your mind. All levels! Hammer it or sit back and enjoy the view. Kick cheers required by all at the saddle.
Rolling Pickup Points:
6:15pm - Tartine
6:45pm - GG Bridge
*REMEMBER TO BRING LIGHTS!*
Did you eat lunch on the descent? Nice ride.
