Alex P showing the field how it's done. Yep, he won again, this time at the Burlingame Crit. Well done, Alex!

MCers - remember to keep us down here at HQ updated about your event/race finishes...

Yes! Nice work, Heather
We've obviously known for a long time that sharing the highs and lows of some committed bike riding can lead to pretty great relationships. Like, that time someone talked you up the last part of a climb, the time you loaned someone a tube to make it home, the time someone bought you a beer for pulling them through the wind. All great experiences. Looks like SFGate has picked up on this potent bonding experience and even featured two of our best friends who are taking their relationship to the next level:

Their article this morning mentions several relationships that have formed through cycling, most notably:

[from the article:]

Love at first bike

Travis Crawford and Tina Reid originally met through the Mission Cycling club team, but it wasn't until a bike event in Ojai (Ventura County), and the six-hour car ride to get there, that sparks began to fly.

"I kept asking him questions during the drive," Reid says. "You get to know someone pretty well on a trip like that."

After logging hundreds of miles together, they are now engaged. Their wedding colors are Ojai orange and Mission Cycling blue.

Reid, who works at Clif Bar, is into endurance bicycling. It's a good thing Crawford, who works at Twitter, understands his future wife's desire to do 500-mile races.

"I needed someone who was active like me," Reid says. "I don't want someone missing out on what I do in my free time. I like sharing my passion for cycling with him."

That's awesome. Can you imagine the miles these two are going to put in together? I'm sore just thinking about it. And Mission Cycling blue? Amazing. You guys are the best and we're very happy for you. Congratulations T and T!
